Poker is an exciting and enthralling game. But, you have to adhere to some rules and regulations that are mandatory in a poker game. There are four main and famous game forms of poker, which are Texas Hold’em, Omaha, Omaha Hi-Lo, and Seven-card stud.

General Rules

Some of the rules are as follows:

• When you start a game of poker, you have to necessarily buy for the entirety of that particular poker game, which means minimum 10 times of the maximum bet.
• You are entitled to only one small buying for a particular game. Totaling of your whole stack is not permitted. The adding up may be done amidst the hands.
• A forced player who has been moved from a broken poker game to another game of similar limit may start playing with the same amount of cash, even though if it is not the actual buy-in amount.
• But a player changing games on his own must have minimum buy-in amount of money to play in a new game. And it is not necessary that he pitch in more amount than the required minimum for that particular game.

Texas Unique Rules

Texas Hold’em poker is a very popular game with round about 4 betting deals. Some of the golden rules for this unique game are as follows:

• Amongst all players, one takes the role of the dealer or the button. Other players take this position in clockwise motion.
• The small and the big blind players are the ones with money before the game starts. They are the ones to be seated to the left side of the button.
• Each of the players gets 2 cards that have face down, known as hole cards.
• The betting in the game starts with the left hand side player to the big blind and is continued in the same clockwise direction.
  The flop round is dealt after the first betting round, when 3 group cards are shown on the table.
• Then the second betting round begins with the 1st player to the left side of the dealer, and the betting round continues in a clockwise fashion
• After the second round a community card is shown on the table known as turn. The third round is also similar to the second round and the bets are doubled
• When the 3rd round ends, a 5th group card is shown on the center table known as river.
• Then likewise the fourth round continues in the same fashion till the end of the game.

The art of the hand

In a poker game, the players must necessarily merge their cards known as hole with those of the community cards to try and achieve the best five-card set. In this effort, the use of both hole cards, 1 hole card and none is allowed according to the discretion of the player to make a good hand.
